Thoughts on Design

When I work on a project, I sometimes think as a designer and sometimes as an engineer. This is more like a pendulum swinging back and forth between these two realms of thought, rather than switching between them depending on the situation.
It is an attitude of looking at an issue from at least two different angles. “The pendulum thinking” is not limited to a single framework, but moves back and forth between two poles at high speed, finding the answer in the swinging afterimage. Part and whole, individual and group, concrete and abstract, large and small, perspective, subjective and objective, insect’s eye and bird’s eye, near future and far future... It is in the movement of this back and forth that I hope to find the shape of design.
