1950s | AKARI | Isamu Noguchi
“AKARI” designed by Isamu Noguchi is known as a lighting sculpture.
“AKARI is the light of the sun through a shoji paper sliding door. Crude electricity becomes warm sunshine through the magic of Japanese paper.”
These are the words of Mr. Isamu when he was 75 years old. I would like to cherish the sun and fire/two natural lights.
