TATAMIZA

2008 | Hida Sangyo | Kenya Hara

I created this piece of furniture for my own use, using my bent wood skills.
I have a tatami mat floor in my study at home, but I sit under the desk with my legs down like a kotatsu. I made the chair like an exoskeleton because it is essential to support my back when I work for a long time. The chair is characterized by its unobstructed presence and the fit between the seat and the body when sitting.
